6-Week Virtual Watercolor Class

May 7 through June 11

Tuesdays from 9 to Noon EST from anywhere

In this 6-week class we’ll start the first two weeks on a painting we do together, then for the following 4 weeks we’ll practice various techniques and effects. This is very much like an in person class with critiques as well as painting along to my demo. You’ll have the advantage of being able to see what I’m doing better and you won’t have to pack up all your materials or leave home. Also, classes are recorded so you won’t miss a thing if you can’t make each class! All levels of experience are welcome. This will be the last class before the fall session starts back up again. $180 To sign up, click and send an email to me stating that you want to register.

Painting a Floral Watercolor

4-Week Class: May 22 through June 12

Wednesdays from 9 to 11:30 am

This 4-week class is held at the Pittsford Spiegel Community Center and will focus on composing a floral painting and taking it to completion. The class will be taught a little differently for this session, and everyone will paint from a similar reference photo so that we can work through the painting process together. (Note that this isn’t the image we will be doing.) We’ll work on all sorts of more organic subjects within the painting. All levels of experience are welcome. Students must bring their own supplies. $100 Registration is through the Pittsford Rec Dept.

3-Day Workshop: August 19, 20 & 21

At Sunny Point on Keuka Lake from 10 am to 4 pm Each Day

This 3-day workshop is held in the red barn at Sunny Point on beautiful Keuka Lake. We will tackle painting objects like flowers, glass, metal, and fabric and learn how to achieve each of these textures in watercolor. Work from the same reference image (TBD) or choose to use your own.  Students will need to bring their own supplies (download materials list here). This workshop is through the Arts Center of Yates County so you will need to register through them.
