The 4th annual Real. Small. exibit will be featuring realism in paintings that are 8” x 10” or smaller. I don’t do a lot of paintings that small but I will have one painting in the show. There is an opening reception on Saturday, November 16 from 4 to 7 pm. The location is 32 S. Main Street, Canandaigua.
Take your watercolor paintings to the next level. This 3 day watercolor workshop at Sunny Point on Keuka Lake will focus on glazing (working in layers) to achieve more luminescence and depth in your watercolor paintings. In addition to teaching techniques, I will cover planning the steps of your paintings, which is especially important in watercolor. Open to adults with some prior art experience, although all levels of watercolor painters are welcome. A seasonal property of the Arts Center, Sunny Point is located at 868 East Lake Rd, Dundee, NY. $150/$180 non-member of ACYC. Please contact the Arts Center directly to register for this workshop. Call 315-536-8226 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Orazio Salati Gallery Solo Show
I currently have a solo show at the beautiful Orazio Salati Gallery in Binghamton, NY, through May. Gallery Hours: Saturdays 11 - 3 PM and by appointment.
Although most of my paintings are connected with nature, I am also drawn to paint old machines. I'm fascinated by the fact that these huge metal machines are no longer of use and yet the soft, seemingly-fragile, natural world seems to find a way to continue on. In this show I have just 4 larger works of different machines—mining, logging, a steam engine from a train and a huge machine factory pulley — contrasted with many smaller florals and other growing things. Every year, without fail, they find a way to grow again.
